Here is the best natural way to remove rust from metal

I am going to share a very interesting way to remove rust (naturally) from your metal tools (rusty metal tools).

Best thing is: the ingredient necessary for the whole process is already available at your home.

Here is the list of ingredients:

  • Chemical ingredients
    • Vinegar
    • Baking soda
    • Coconut oil
  • Tools
    • Rusted tools
    • Toothbrush
    • Paper towels
    • Water
    • Hair dryer
    • Sponge
    • Bucket

Here is the whole process:

  1. Soak your rusted tools in vinegar for 3 hours, then clean or brighten the surface of the tools by scrubbing with a toothbrush
  2. Now soak the cleaned items in a solution of baking soda and water (at 1:2 ratio, baking soda 1, water 2). The soaking period will be for five minutes.
  3. Now rinse the tools in water. Dry immediately after the rinse process with paper towels. You can use a hair dryer for any tight spaces.
  4. This is an optional step: You can coat the cleaned tools with coconut oil to prevent further rusting.

I learned this process from Buzzfeed’s this article.
