According to experts at Harvard Medical School, “the heart rates of trained triathletes tend to be six to 10 beats per minute higher when they are running than when they are cycling”.
Experts say cycling and running both exercises are good for the cardiovascular system. If a person runs 4 miles which is equivalent to 12 miles cycling, that means the ratio level of running and cycling is 1:3. And both levels do same work for cardiovascular fitness.
So, in this case, the benefit of running and cycling are same for the cardiovascular fitness.
